You are invited to meet with Minnesota’s school district curriculum leadership at the 2014 CLM Fall Conference.  Our exhibitors make a significant contribution to the quality of the conference.  With your help, we are able to enhance our professional development opportunities.  At this year’s conference, we expect over 100 curriculum leaders and their teams from school districts throughout Minnesota.

We have been fine-tuning the conference schedule as it pertains to our exhibitors so that you might have a better, more value-added experience.
We hope that you will participate in the conference sessions and join our participants at meals.  Conference registration for one person is included in your exhibitor registration.  We feel we have an excellent menu of sessions this year, and attending the sessions and meals alongside our participants provides great opportunities for building relationships

MASA's 2014 Strategic
Vision Survey Results
MASA’s strategic initiatives are planned and implemented on a three-year cycle.  Each cycle begins with a strategic planning team retreat.  The team comprises the MASA Board of Directors and additional members to insure that each MASA Region has representation by at least three members.  The meeting agenda includes review of the MASA Mission and current initiatives supporting it, and opportunities for development of additional strategic ventures.  The retreat is informed by data gleaned from an annual member survey as well as feedback from specific projects, member participation data, and outcomes of action planning developed by the previous team. The team will meet at the end of October, 2014, and the plan they develop will be presented to the MASA Board for formal approval at their December, 2014, meeting. Click Here to View Results

Leading Twenty-first Century Systems
What is a 21st century … student? … leader? … district?  And what does this mean for our work?  In his February, 2014 New York Times article, “How to Get a Job at Google,” Thomas Friedman wrote that the things that won’t get a person that job are:  test scores, GPA, being president of the chess club, and a “name brand” degree.  He goes on to say that what does get a candidate in the running includes: collaboration skills, humility and responsibility, loving learning and relearning, and demonstrating what you know (not where you learned it).  So how do we build systems that will prepare students for this?  Join us this fall and explore how a focus on critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication can be embedded in vision, culture, curriculum, and pedagogy.  You will want to be at this event with your team!  There will be opportunities to network with colleagues to improve your systems.  Leave with a plan to bring back to your home district or school along with resources for implementation.

Round up your instructional leadership team – with a special rate for teams of three or more.
